Jason Beal / Ingram Micro on Cloud Services Roundtable

File Under:
Making Money with Cloud Services

Cloud computing presents a significant opportunity for solution providers and the next leap forward for the IT channel.

On the next Cloud Services Roundtable conference call we'll discuss the role VARs and MSPs will play in the cloud computing environment - with Jason Beal, the man in charge of Ingram Micro's Seismic managed services. We'll look at ways you can be relevant, add value, and ultimately earn healthy revenues and profits through cloud computing.

I had the pleasure of working with Jason on a very successful Cloud Panel at the Autotask Community Live event in Miami in April. We packed the room and had a great exchange with our panel.

This event is obviously focused from the Ingram perspective. But Jason has a lot to offer for a general understanding of how we transition from product and service delivery to a service and cloud service delivery. I speculated (a few blog posts ago) about the destruction of our channel. Let's talk to Jason about how our distributor partners can help us THRIVE.

About Jason Beal:

Jason is responsible for sales, strategy and partner engagement for Ingram Micro's Seismic managed services, the Ingram Micro Services Network (IMSN) and Ingram Micro IT Staffing Services. He is a strong advocate of the channel, working closely with solution providers to promote the power and profitability of partnering models and annuity-based, service-centric businesses.

Prior to joining Ingram Micro in early 2005, Jason worked for five years as the vice president of operations and services for a niche distributor in the content management and storage space. He holds bachelor's degrees in international business and Russian language from the University of California, Davis, and an executive MBA from Chapman University. Jason lives in Fountain Valley, Calif., with his wife and three children.
